The Associate Director, Business Insights and Effectiveness is a key member of the Forecasting Analytics, Business Insights and Effectiveness team responsible for developing and delivering data driven insights that support strategic decision making as well as tactical planning. This role will primarily support Hemophilia Business Unit by deriving and effectively assimilating insights from multiple sources. He/she will also have responsibility leading analytical support of field effectiveness initiatives across the portfolio of products within the region. This person will bring a strategic mindset and build strong understanding of business and market landscape for the therapeutic areas supported. This person will possess strong analytical curiosity together with ability and willingness to drill into data to help answer business questions. They will combine their analytical, collaborative, and business skills and experience to influence decision making and be viewed as a strategic thought partner.


  • Lead the development of deep dive analytical suite assimilating insights from multiple sources, both internal and external, to help provide a thorough understanding of brand performance
  • Proactively identify opportunities to analyze and bubble up actionable insights that shed light on emerging trends
  • Build strong relationships with cross functional partners (Marketing, Field, Global Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, and Investor Relations) to understand business questions, then develop and execute analytical approaches to help provide timely insights
  • Effectively present findings to key stakeholders, provide recommendations, and implement approved recommendations
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to help establish brand KPIs and goals that help effectively track launch trajectory as well as on-going brand performance
  • Deliver patient, revenue and unit forecasts, analyses, and recommendations throughout the year and ensure all forecasts are based on reliable, up to date information, and that short-term and long-term forecasts are aligned
  • Drive the development and maintenance of workload analysis models, territory planning and mapping for field teams across portfolio of products
  • Lead the development of ROI models, reporting capabilities to support diagnostic programs and other field initiatives across the portfolio
  • Work with outsourcing/vendor resources in building and maintaining analytical models and reporting capabilities
  • Support team lead to regularly evaluate team deliverables, toolkits, analytical approaches to ensure alignment with organizational growth goals
  • Develop first-hand knowledge of the data sets and act as a subject matter expert to navigate emerging business needs and the evolving data landscape

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Mathematics, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, etc.) with emphasis in Finance, Business, or Life Sciences
  • 10-12 years experience in the biotechnology/pharmaceutical or related industry
  • Proven track record of working collaboratively in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
  • Ability to influence without direct authority
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong partnerships
  • Ability to assimilate detailed data to discover and communicate key business trends
  • Experience with visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and SQL Server
  • Excellent presentation skills and experience presenting to executive level audiences
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Excellent Excel-based modeling skills
  • A keen eye for detail


  • Graduate degree in business or life sciences (MBA/PhD); consulting or investment banking
  • Experience supporting Executive level decision making
  • Familiarity with the Hemophilia market
  • Experience analyzing competitive market space
  • Higher level statistical / applied mathematics background
  • Experience developing and supporting revenue forecasting models
  • Ability to thrive in a transformational environment
