Job Details
The Director of IT is the technical lead and responsible for partnering with Zai Lab’s HR, Finance, Corporate Communications, Legal and Compliance departments to ensure IT requirements are prioritized in the business.
- Provides leadership to the business and the strategic IT partners to drive the Application Technology Modernization
- Ensures managed system operation aligned with requirement of IT and information security standards.
- Ensures quality and compliance to information governance within projects and operations of IT function.
- Provides input on demand requirement for creation and maintain IT investment plan
- Ensures the continuous improvement, rationalization and management of existing systems and operations.
- Establishes a collaborative, cross-divisional community of business user boards to provide input and feedback on requirements, design, etc.
- Identifies new system demand by fully understanding business objective, business requirement, standards and regulations
- Ensures all Zai Lab IT systems apply the appropriate information security control manner.
- Initiates, oversees and supports business process optimization projects in line with strategy, needs and compliance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology (IT), Computer Science (CS), Software Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent work experience).
- Knowledge in Biotech/Pharma/Medical device industry is required.
- 10+ IT experience in HR/Finance/Corporate Communication/Legal /Compliance
- 5+ in IT Management/Lead role, experience on Global IT matrix organization.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, and able to interact at all levels inside & outside of the organization.
- Very strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good analytical, problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours (Major on US East Coast / West Coast, often collaboration with China team in Asia time zone also)
