Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Manage and direct the activities of an existing group of Scientists and Research Associates in the In Vivo Pharmacology department.
- Support in vivo study design and execution across multiple projects to support development of novel anticancer therapeutics.
- Work to be coordinated will be a combination of internally- and externally-run studies, requiring the ability to identify and work with CRO’s.
- Develop processes for the Pharmacology team, especially for study initiation and completion and data management.
- Analyze and present data, including rationale and design of in vivo studies to the department and project teams, as well as Research Leadership.
- Coordinate the development and implementation of new technologies in the in vivo space to support new target identification, validation, and preclinical development.
- Support the generation of an annual budget for in vivo studies across multiple projects.
Qualifications:
- At least 10 years of relevant post-PhD experience.
- Previous industry experience is required.
- Expert in designing and executing in vivo studies using rodents to support the preclinical development of anticancer therapeutics.
- Hands-on expertise working with rodent models of oncology is required.
- Excellent management and training skills.
- Experience working with CRO’s to design and execute In Vivo Pharmacology studies.
- Capable of working independently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, demonstrating the capability to contribute on multiple projects at the same time.
- Great communication skills and team spirit is required. Proven track record of innovation, scientific excellence, and integrity.
- Flexibility to accommodate to rapidly changing priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent troubleshooting and data analysis skills are required.
