What you will do

Amgen is seeking a Mobility Engineer working in the Device Engineering Team within Digital Workplace experience (DWX) group. The Mobility Engineer will be responsible for driving all the Engineering efforts for iOS, iPad OS and Android Devices in the environment.

You will be working on high transparency projects and play a key role in delivering on IS initiatives and optimizing the end user experience while maintaining the security of Amgen assets and data. You will need to establish and maintain a positive business relationship with users and business partners and will participate in supporting critical mobility design and engineering services for Amgen.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide day-to-day direction, development, maintenance, and 3rd -level support of the Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) platform, currently VMWare Workspace One for Mobile devices.
  • Build and maintain enterprise device profiles and configurations for Mobile Devices.
  • Responsible for leading Shared iOS and iPad OS devices configurations and profile in the environment.
  • Experience in running BYOD configurations with Security and Privacy requirements.
  • Continuously evaluate and implement improvements to processes, productivity, and efficiency of supported UEM, ABM and related platforms.
  • Develop the short- and long-term strategy to drive end user efficiency in the mobility space.
  • Plan for, and implement, new features as they are made available from vendors or developers.
  • Research, test, and perform regular updates to UEM platform.
  • Maintain UEM lab environment to handle, test the functionality of the future release.
  • Own and advance issues to resolution.
  • Collaborate with our Compliance team to approve mobile apps and evaluate compliance risks
  • Guide to broader Partnership to improve and expand various platforms
  • Expand support information for common issues, allowing other technicians to quickly resolve recurring problems.
  • Develop and maintain scripts for process automation.
  • Responsible for leading Apple Business manager, Volume Purchase Program and Device enrollment program from iOS devices.
  • Well versed with Intune App Protection Policies, Okta Device Trust and VMWare Conditional access solutions.
  • Build implementation and migration plans for projects as assigned
  • Develop and document procedures and standards
  • Participate in continued development to keep abreast of vendor roadmaps and feature enhancements
  • Provide technical guidance / support to other internal groups.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Doctorate degree
  • Masters degreeand2 yearsof Information Systems and software, mobile, or web experience
  • Bachelors degreeand4 yearsof Information Systems and software, mobile, or web experience
  • Associate degreeand8 yearsof Information Systems and software, mobile, or web experience
  • High school diploma / GEDand10 yearsof Information Systems and software, mobile, or web experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Technical background and hands-on experience working in Mobile end user support within a global, corporate environment. Experience should include MDM L3 for application management and configuration management and Certificate deployment.
  • Well versed with conditional access and Device Trust Solutions.
  • Well versed with distributing certificate to mobile devices from internal certificate authority.
  • Solid grasp of Mobile technologies (Mobile Device Management systems such as Workspace One or Intune or JAMF), mobile security technologies (such as application management, device trust) and iOS operating systems.
  • Solid understanding of servers, configuration, and maintenance: Windows Servers, Exchange, 0365, Azure AD, Active Directory, Web server platforms (IIS, Apache), other mail systems, web and device certificates (SSL/TLS)
  • Experience administering M365 tools such as MS Teams, OneDrive, and Intune required
  • Commitment to creating and adhering to standards and documentation
  • Proven scripting proficiency (Powershell or Python preferred)
  • Previous experience in a highly regulated environment is desired, though not required.
  • Experience working with third-party organizations responsible for the operational support of the service.
  • Ability to impact and influence outcomes and to balance multiple priorities to build a strong network and relationships across IS functions and the business
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced team environment while consistently demonstrating flexibility, resiliency, and resourcefulness.
  • Validated experience in MS Office Suite & Partnership tools, including development of sophisticated Excel spreadsheets, PPT, Teams and SharePoint
  • Excellent problem-solving, team and time leadership skills
  • Resourceful and proactive in collecting information and sharing ideas
  • Validated understanding of ITIL methodologies and systems including ServiceNow
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps.
