We are looking for candidates to join the mRNA production team who will be responsible for executing or supporting experiments to meet agreed upon deliverables and timelines. The successful candidate will collaborate with an inter-disciplinary team of scientists and will have access to excellent experimental and analytical facilities.
Responsibilities
- Planning and execution of cloning techniques/strategies
- Conduct routine and non-routine in vitro transcription of mRNAs
- Identify critical factors that influence mRNA yield and quality
- Work to identify optimal in vitro transcription conditions
- Collaborate with other functions to develop analytical methods for mRNA characterization
Required Skills & Qualifications
- M.Sc. in Physical Chemistry/Biochemistry/Biology or related field. A strong background in nucleic acids is preferred.
- Hands-on experimental skills with 3-6 years of relevant experience in nucleic acids
- Prior experience working with in vitro transcription is strongly desired
- Direct experience with mRNA product characterization is preferred
- Proficiency in other analytical techniques (qPCR, dPCR, capillary electrophoresis)
- Ability to maintain accurate and well-organized laboratory records
- Excellent organizational and oral/written communication skills
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Works independently as well as collaboratively within groups and interdisciplinary teams
- Desire to work in a fast-paced environment
