We’re seeking a Compensation Specialist to join us in our mission to improve human health and quality of life through the development, distribution, and application of advanced computational methods.

As a member of our Human Resources team, you’ll work with employees across departments and seniority levels to present Schrödinger’s total compensation packages in a comprehensive and impactful way. You’ll also help key decision-makers come to the right decisions by analyzing data, understanding compliance, and applying equitable standards to our global practices. We’re seeking an applicant who can enthusiastically provide robust support to our existing compensation processes as we scale.

What you’ll do:

  • Craft competitive messaging about our total rewards to job candidates and current employees while managing our 401(k), future ESPP, and other relevant programs
  • Partner with compensation team, managers, Human Resources, business partners, the compensation and equity teams within our Finance and Accounting Department, and recruiting teams to solve and provide guidance on compensation-related business problems
  • Manipulate data sets in clear and complex ways and convey findings to leadership; create presentations for employees, management, and Board of Directors
  • Partner on special projects (e.g., process refinement, implementation of new HR systems, global compensation policies)
  • Collaborate with Sales leaders and Finance teams to create and maintain competitive Sales bonus plans
  • Assist with creation, discussion, and review of compensation policies and processes
  • Provide input on Say on Pay/CD&A filings

What you should have:

  • Bachelor’s degree plus relevant experience in a quantitative field or position
  • At least four years of experience in an analytical HR role in a global publicly-traded company (or equivalent experience)
  • Familiarity with compensation survey data and a history of working with managers to benchmark employees and develop competitive compensation packages
  • Proven track record of scaling public-company equity and compensation programs
