Waters Corporation is currently looking for an Inside Sales Specialist who will be responsible for responding to customer requests for information and providing customers with quotations in North America. The role offers the opportunity to learn and apply sales skills for customer phone outreach, lead generation, lead qualification, customer event follow up and opportunity maintenance and creation. Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage all inbound automation leads in North America
  • Respond to and qualify all Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) received via website, external and internal Business Development efforts (Seminars, Trade Shows, etc.)
  • Maintaining strong links with our field and regional business units and contribute to team success.
  • Drive Sales - Independently and collaboratively by increasing market-share at existing accounts and by prospecting within their territory for new business opportunities. This includes advising customers on technical suitability.
  • Sales Competencies - Identify opportunities to cross sell other complementary Waters Products. 
  • Customer Relationship Building - Communication with and sell to end users and decision makers. 
  • Database Management - Utilizing Waters CRM to track sales activities, open opportunities and campaign follow-up initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree is required. A science degree (e.g., chemistry, biology, food science, clinical science, nutrition) is preferred. 
  • 2+ years of laboratory and/or sales experience is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of chromatography, diagnostics, drug discovery, genomics, proteomics and biopharma is desired.
  • Understanding scientific workflows (bioanalysis, diagnostics, genomics and LC/MS techniques is preferred)
  • Effective “Diagnostic Selling” skills or willingess to learn.
