Waters is seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to fill the role of an Informatics Sales Specialist. Responsibilities will include providing pre-sales support to customers and Account Managers on our full range of Software Solutions. The desired candidate should be a self-starter and able to work in unison with their assigned Account Managers providing pre-sales support to customers, guidance, software specification collaborating drive Waters sales business in the LATAM region. Responsible for selling Waters Informatics Products (Empower CDS, NuGenesis LMS) within Latin America Distributors territory.  In this role, the Informatics Sales Specialist will be responsible for demonstrating and selling enterprise class software into a wide variety of scientific and life science markets.  This position will focus on managing and supporting Latin America Distributors Informatics business opportunities and expanding business within the sales territory.

Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed Informatics Sales targets
  • Respond directly for the execution of sales plan of Informatics solutions.
  • Develop and execute selling plans and projects in order to effectively expand accounts and capture new business
  • Demonstrate knowledge on Waters gold standard software solutions such as Empower 3 CDS and NuGenesis LMS.
  • Run software presentation and demos to a wide range customer variety.
  • Respond to Empower and NuGenesis “How to” application and workflow questions.
  • Be accountable on identify opportunities from local market segments and promote innovative solutions.
  • Guide the local team on Data Integrity concepts and GxP software standards.   
  • Support Sales team on software maintenance plans.
  • Actively attend technical meetings either local and international, providing inputs related to IT infrastructure and implementation strategies.     
  • Liaise with Corporate Informatics team with local team on new solution updates and marketing strategies. 
  • Provide customer software specification documentation.
  • Assist sales and service team according to business needs.
  • Respond to an ISO culture environment
  • Manage accounts and expand Informatics business within the territory
  • Interface with Waters field organization on strategic planning and service delivery
  • Present to customers and prospective customers the stand features and functions of Waters Informatics products
  • Discuss product concept to prospective customers, clearly, concisely and articulately
  • Proven success in a complex selling environment, having sold either enterprise class software or high-tech instrumentation.
  • Understands the process of selling Informatics Products on a corporate level.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Chemistry, Pharmacy or any related Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience with laboratory informatics environment providing technical support/troubleshooting, software implementation.
  • Minimum of 2 years working with Chromatography Data System (CDS). Preferable Waters Empower 3.
  • Strong Knowledge in IT (networking, windows domain, Client/server environment, Databases...) is a must
  • Knowledge of software management and governance for highly regulated GxP environments.
  • Experience with Waters Products strongly preferred
  • Experience using a CRM/Salesforce package a plus.
