Schrödinger is seeking a Force Fields Intern to join us in our mission to improve human health and quality of life through the development, distribution, and application of advanced computational methods!
As a member of our team, you’ll help develop new atomistic physics-based models with unprecedented levels of accuracy. This role offers the opportunity to combine your scientific research experience with sound engineering principles to enable chemical discovery projects across a wide range of application areas.
A successful candidate will:
- work well in a collaborative environment
- be able to work independently on force field development for coordination chemistry
- be eager to adopt good software engineering practices and methodologies
Required qualifications include:
- currently enrolled in PhD program the field of Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or Physics or exceptionally experienced undergraduate in same fields
- experience with all-atom molecular dynamics simulations
- excellent written and verbal scientific communication skills
Desirable qualifications include:
- experience writing python code
- familiarity with popular scientific computing packages including numpy and matplotlib
- experience with force field parameterization and methods development
- familiarity with coordination chemistry concepts
