Job Details

We are seeking a talented R&D Associate to join our growing Obesity, Muscle, and Metabolism team at Regeneron! This position provides core support for animal blood and serum chemistry analysis to all research groups in Discovery. This includes use of automated serum analyses, ELISA assays, and hematology assays. 

As an R&D Associate, a typical day may include the following: 

-  Support blood and metabolic phenotyping of animal models comparing genetic variants and pharmacologic treatments

-  Routine analysis of rodent serum and plasma samples to measure levels of proteins, hormones, lipids, and other circulating markers of metabolic function

-  Blood cell profiling by hematological analysis

-  Maintain analytical equipment

-  Competent interaction and communication of test results with users from multiple research groups

-  The successful candidate should be adept at entry of results into database programs and timely delivery of data to scientific researchers

To be considered for this role, you must have a B.S. degree and 2-4 years of experience or a M.S. degree 0-2 years’ experience. We are seeking 3 to 4 years in a diagnostic laboratory or industry setting in a serum chemistry analysis role, as it is preferred. Experience with quantitative analyses of serum and plasma samples for levels of proteins, lipids, and other serum components is highly desirable. Prior experience with operation and maintenance of automated serum chemistry analyzers (ADVIA Chemistry XPT), multiplex ELISA formats, and use of hematology analyzer is preferred. Technical serum chemistry experience and understanding of the underlying biological processes. Usage of Excel and database programs is required.
