Associate Director Corporate Strategy

The Corporate Strategy group at Regeneron is responsible for conceiving and conducting analyses to help senior leadership make critical long-term decisions for our business.  The Associate Director, Corporate Strategy will play a key role in identifying strategic questions of interest, collaborating with functions across Regeneron to drive projects forward from start to finish, building models to assess different business options, and developing actionable insights for presentation to senior leadership. This person will also have the chance to create new ways for the Corporate Strategy group to support Regeneron in its mission of bringing medicines to patients.

As an Associate Director in Corporate Strategy, job duties include:

• Work across all key areas of the company to capture information and data about our business

• Design and conduct interviews with functional groups to understand needs and problems, and help find solutions

• Assess market opportunities and potential return for key R&D investment decisions

• Model future scenarios at a corporate level to inform business decisions

• Find opportunities to bring clarity, consistency, and efficiency to decision-making processes within the company

• Contribute to development of the annual long-term corporate outlook presentation to help senior management understand the consequences of the company’s strategy

• Communicate conclusions and recommendations of analyses to senior management

• Strong command of financial modeling and valuation

• Strong verbal communication skills and experience presenting to a senior level audience 

• Team player attitude with a desire to work collaboratively with other functions to reach an end goal

• Project management skills with the ability to move forward multiple projects simultaneously and keep cross-functional team members engaged and informed

• Comfort working independently and taking action on projects when limited guidance has been provided

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have a graduate degree (MBA, MD, or PhD) and 3+ years of work experience in consulting, equity research, or investment banking, or in a strategy role within the biopharmaceutical industry. Alternatively, those without a graduate degree and 5+ years of work experience as described will be considered. Strong analytical skills, including extensive experience using Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint, are critical to be successful in this role. Experience critiquing scientific and clinical information and excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also highly valued.
