Regeneron is currently looking to an Analytical Specialist with a Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm schedule. This position is part of the Analytical Sciences Bioanalytical Automated Method Development Team. Regeneron successfully manufactures a range of biopharmaceuticals for patients worldwide, including our approved therapeutic proteins and those involved in clinical studies. This position will be responsible for development, troubleshooting and implement of automated cell-based and/or binding potency assays utilized in Quality Control testing for both early phase and late phase/commercial products. In this fast pace environment with a strong pipeline, Analytical Specialists have the opportunity to develop scientifically but also gain insight into other areas of the business.

             

As an Analytical Specialist a typical day might include the following:

  • Performing activities related to design, commissioning, performance improvement, and troubleshooting of automation technologies
  • Providing technical and operational automation support to QC GMP lab
  • Implementing hardware/software changes, and understanding impact of actions to GMP labs
  • Programming liquid handlers and supporting devices
  • Performing manual execution of assays to aid in troubleshooting of automated assays
  • Developing custom software and drivers for automated systems and devices
  • Performing troubleshooting and demonstrating knowledge of instrumentation and controls
  • Working with scientists to develop novel approaches through automation
  • Training end users to execute automated workflows and providing ongoing support
  • Creating standard operation procedures (SOPs), protocols, and work instructions, etc.
  • Supporting equipment and software qualification and validation activities
  • Providing support for automation related investigations and other quality processes

  • Are open minded, flexible, and can communicate well across all levels of the business

  • Continuously drive to improve processes for improved performance
  • Enjoy statistical analysis of data sets to support project decisions.
  • Have working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Softmax Pro, and JMP

To be considered for the Analytical Specialist you must be willing and able to work Monday- Friday, 8am-4:30pm. For various levels you must have the following:

Associate Analytical Specialist: BS/BA in Biology, Biochemistry, Biomedical Engineering or related field; Cell Biology, Biology or Biochemistry; or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Analytical Specialist: BS/BA in Biology, Biochemistry, Biomedical Engineering or related field; Cell Biology, Biology or Biochemistry and 2+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Senior Analytical Specialist I: BS/BA in Biology, Biochemistry, Biomedical Engineering or related field; Cell Biology, Biology or Biochemistry and 5+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience with binding assays, cell- based potency assays, and plate-based ELISA preferred.

Level is determined based on qualifications relevant to the role.
