Associate Director, Trade Analytics - Specialty Distribution Data

Job Summary and Essential Functions:

Summary:

The Associate Director, Trade Analytics is responsible for harmonizing, governing and delivering insights derived from data relative to: Specialty Distributors/Wholesalers, Specialty Pharmacies, Group Purchasing Organizations, pricing and discount programs, HCP orders/patterns.  Integration of hub data may be required to derive insights.

This position contributes to the delivery of data and analytics for Trade, GPO and Distribution teams, within Market Access for the Oncology CBU.

Responsibilities:

Data Development and Management

Vendor Management

1) Data Aggregators

-    Manage current and future deliverables to meet the business needs

-    Manage network data project plans with data aggregators, data suppliers, and Trade account executives

-    Monitor data supplier feeds – Ensure timeliness, accuracy, completeness of the data

-    Ensure vendor and internal teams implement effective QA/QC steps for data deliverables

-    Collaboration with Alliance data management teams to develop business logic in support of broader organizational needs

Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs) Roster and Membership analytics

1)  HCP Customer Groups (Parent/Child Relationship Groups)

-    Verify internal HCP Customer Groups align with Specialty Distributor Accounts and have the appropriate parent to child linkage

2)  Support Trade with GPO analytics and reporting that is shared with the Oncology CBU

3)  Support Trade with analytics related to the following:

-      HCP Customer Groups, GPO Rosters accounts and action plans

-      Customer buying patterns and trends by Class of Trade and other levels of segmentation

(i.e. purchasing organizations, quintiles, geography, brand market share, contract type etc.)

4) Rebate Analyses

-      Determine how rebate or contract eligible customers are performing overall and against benchmarks (i.e.: peer groups, national average of non-rebate/contract eligible customers …)

Physician Discount Programs

  • Provide ongoing analytical support to monitor contract pricing and discount programs outside of GPO offerings, and identify trends and opportunities

HCP Ordering Patterns

  • Determine HCP ordering patterns, identify trends and changes and communicate to stakeholders. 

Experience and Required Skills:  Requirements:

  • Data Management: ability to align and manage data aggregator services with a focus on Regeneron business management and data needs
  • Analytical Skills: ability to leverage and analyze a wide variety of data including Trade distribution data, chargeback transactions, GPO Account linkage files, HUB program data and financial data to support business decision making
  • Resource Management: ability to plan and manage internal and external resources effectively
  • Business Planning: ability to develop business forecasts and plans
  • Presentation Skills: ability to create and develop reports in excel or other data tools as well as PowerPoint presentations, including formatting, design and layout of insights to communicate clearly to stakeholders

BA/BS degree required

Candidates should have at least 7+ years progressive, industry related experience with the following:

  • Minimum 4 years experience with trade and commercial data, analytics and reporting in pharmaceutical/biotech industry, must have experience with GPO contracting data elements (i.e. rosters, parent/child, customer masters, 867s/chargeback data, etc.).
  • Minimum of 2 years experience with pharmaceutical wholesalers and specialty pharmacies data sets preferred.
  • Previous experience within pharmaceutical commercial data-operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence decision makers who drive key input.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel and in PowerPoint is required.
  • Desire experience with analytical or business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Qlikview, Dataiku, SQL, and SAS.
