The Associate Director, Market Access Contracting reports to the Senior Director, Government & Commercial Contracting Lead. The position is responsible to manage contracting strategy and operations to support portfolio products, Gross to Net projection, and other Market Access programs This position resides at our Radnor, PA office. 

 

All interested individuals must be in commutable distance (driving) to be on site as needed.

Key Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Collaborate with Market Access team on contracting strategy for portfolio products in the product life cycle (pre-launch, launch, growth, LOE (loss of exclusivity) or post LOE
  • Manage contract operations process across all channels, including Commercial, Medicaid, Medicare, Institutional and VA/DoD.   The contract process would include but is not limited to financial modeling to evaluate contract proposals, matrix team proposal review/approval, contract terms negotiation, rebate processing and payment review process.
  • Post Deal analytics and review
  • Manage GTN (gross to net) projections, working closely with FP&A and Accounting teams, providing various rebate/discount liability projection, and assist FP&A team on GTN rate accruals for forecasts, budget and closing activities.
  • Provide analytical support for Market Access Field team
  • Keep current and work with internal and external experts to monitor the latest state and government contracting and reporting requirements, and ensures government pricing implications are identified and considered
  • Assist with calculation/review of monthly/quarterly Government Pricing calculations (AMP (Average Manufacturer Price), Best Price, RPU (Rebate per unit), PHS (340B) Pricing, ASP (Average Selling Price), and other government pricing metrics that may be required.
  • Communicate appropriate list price and chargeback (PHS, VA/DoD etc.) to Third Party Logistics (3PL) provider
  • Provide proactive and reactive analytics and insights to the business that helps improve forecasting, contracting decisions, pricing decisions, timing, and general business planning.
  • Contribute to short and long-term pricing strategies and analyze healthcare policy to identify opportunities necessary to achieve business objectives


Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA/Master’s degree preferred.
  • 8 years’ experience in the healthcare or pharmaceutical/biotech industry with some or all of that experience in government/commercial contracting as part of Market Access
  • Must have experience managing gross to net projections, pricing and reimbursement and payer knowledge
  • Excellent modeling skills and proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
  • Working knowledge and familiarity of syndicated databases such as IQVIA, TRUVEN, ZITTER etc.
  • Knowledge and experience with government programs and compliance
  • Travel (approximately 5%)
