Associate Director, Strategic Alliances
The successful candidate will become part of a cross-functional team that scopes, creates, and fosters collaborative relationships in therapeutic areas and in support of Regeneron’s scientific mission. The scope of responsibilities for this role includes facilitating, planning, and managing strategic project plans and working with project leads and stakeholders to ensure that terms and conditions of executed collaboration agreements at the Regeneron Genetics Center (RGC) are met. There will be regular interactions with senior management, scientific project teams/committees, internal business/legal personnel, and third-party external collaborators.A typical day might include the following:
Collaborating with the RGC Leadership team, RGC scientific teams, Resource Transactions Pipeline team, Research Operations & Analysis team, and Administration & Operations teams to assure that the appropriate planning, tracking, and resourcing is provided for strategic projects.
Providing ongoing assessment of the RGC collaborations portfolio to the RGC Leadership Team, reporting status of collaboration deliverables and business obligations/requirements and tracking opportunities to renew or expand collaboration activities with RGC collaborator sites.
Partnering closely with internal legal, intellectual property and privacy teams to negotiate, implement, and monitor appropriate legal agreements to support research and development goals.
Partnering with finance to identify, conduct and/or coordinate business/financial analyses to support planning and implementation of strategic projects and to reconcile business obligations associated with executed collaboration contracts.

You are a strong collaborator with clear and effective communication skills across all types of group settings.
To be considered for this opportunity you must possess a PhD and minimum of 5 years of experience in technology transfer, strategic consulting, and/or business development. MBA is an asset but not a requirement. Ability to collaborate with a variety of partners and craft clear and succinct presentations is a requirement. The ideal candidate will have a scientific background and experience within an environment that requires flexibility and continuous multi-tasking.
