About Freenome
Freenome is a high-growth biotech company on a mission since 2014 to create tools that empower everyone to prevent, detect, and treat their disease. To achieve this mission, Freenome is developing next-generation blood tests to detect cancer in its earliest, most treatable stages using our multiomics platform and machine learning techniques. Our first blood test will detect early-stage colorectal cancer and advanced adenomas.
- Implement electronic and physical system for Receipt, Organization, and maintenance of historical and future Biospecimen Samples for the R&D group
- Work cross functionally with Supply Chain, Software, & R&D Science teams to absorb requirements and processes to ensure auditability & documentation best practices
- Work with Facilities and Automation Service teams to ensure cold storage is maintained, monitored and Equipment-failure contingency plans are in place
- Work with Facilities and Automation Service teams for off site storage and processes where applicable
- Assist with Client based sample configuration and adherence to SOPs where needed
- Participate & collaborate with requests both internally and externally for delivery of accessioned samples
- Develop new policies and processes to improve lab efficiencies
- Be an ambassador for Safety within R&D as it correlates to cold storage equipment & role
Your background, perspective and experience:
- 4+ years of experience independently managing biospecimen/biorepository functions (without day-to-day oversight) in industry or academia
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
- Experience with Sample Management, Biospecimen Management, or Biorepository manager & LIMS systems
