We are seeking an R&D Associate to join our dynamic, high-profile, and multidisciplinary cancer vaccine development group in Oncology Research. We need an individual who will support the development of novel cancer vaccine formats in preclinical mouse tumor models. This role requires an individual with extensive experience with mouse handling and tissue processing. Additional expertise with functional immune cell assays and, basic cell culture techniques is preferable but not required.

As an R&D Associate in the cancer vaccine team, a typical day might include the following:

-  Perform anti-tumor efficacy studies in mice including dosing (IV, SC, IP, IM), and measuring tumors

-  Mouse dissection to harvest immune organs for subsequent ex vivo analysis

-  Tissue processing for mouse blood, spleen, lymph nodes and tumors

This role may be for you if:

-  You can work both independently and collaboratively with other internal research teams to jointly develop and advance technology-forward methods to compare novel vaccine formats in mouse tumor models

-  You are experienced in injecting mice, harvesting and processing tissues

-  You are an independent thinker and have problem-solving abilities

-  You excel at maintaining documentation, performing data analysis independently, organizing and presenting data at internal group meetings

To be considered for this position, you must have an MS/BS in Molecular Biology, Immunology or related field and a minimum of 2 years of experience in immunology and/or vaccine biology. We are looking for a candidate with proven experience in mouse handling, tumor implantation/growth studies and mouse injections. Strong written and oral communication skills are required. Experience with ex vivo functional assays (ELISA, ELISPOT) is preferred.
