Lead Biotech Production Training Specialist

The Lead Biotech Production Training Specialist drives leadership-related activities with management and performing all tasks vital for delivering On-The-Job training for the Rensselaer Biotech Production Specialists. We are looking for someone who can provide effective leadership to employees, participate with employee training, and communicate accurately with management on resolving challenges.

As the Lead Biotech Production Training Specialist, a typical day might include the following:

• Assisting managers in crafting training scenarios

• Delivering training and providing individual assessment on the performance of each Biotech Production Specialist’s aptitudes prior to deployment into active cGMP production facilities

• Prioritizing and scheduling the training plan for newly hired BPSs and executing cross-training for existing BPSs

• Processing necessary documentation to track individual’s training progress and maintaining records

• Ensuring space designated for BPS trainings and general maintenance of the area by coordinating any tasks with Facilities Management

• Correlating acquisition or materials, resources and equipment to achieve training goals

• Delivering retraining to BPSs, when applicable, as a corrective action for deviations
   

• You seek out ways to improve current systems and processes

• You can optimally troubleshoot challenges as an individual while also guiding fellow employees

To be considered for this role, you must have a BA/BS in Life Sciences, Education, or related field and a minimum 1 year of relevant experience in the industry/related industry. An AS/AAS degree in Biotechnology/Biological Science and 3 years of related experience is also desirable. Relevant biotech or pharmaceutical industry experience may be substituted in lieu of educational requirement.
