Job Details

We are seeking a highly motivated PhD scientist to join our Neuroscience Department, devoted to the discovery and development of novel therapeutics for CNS diseases. The candidate will be working in a ground breaking research environment where innovative tools and technologies are being employed to interrogate the biology and molecular underpinnings of neurodegenerative diseases. The candidate will be working on both existing therapeutic targets, and be involved in new target identification/validation, and technology development. You will collaborate with the group as well as with teams across the organization to optimize and test targeted neuro-therapeutics. The candidate will drive their scientific research projects in a highly collaborative and cross-functional work environment to advance the discovery, characterization, and preclinical development of therapeutics targeting neurodegenerative brain disorders.

As an Associate Scientist on the Neuroscience team, your typical day will include but not limited to:

  • Designing and performing experiments to understand the mechanisms of protein misfolding and protein aggregation in neurodegenerative & amyloidogenic disease(s).

  • Daily involvement in all aspects of the drug development process including target discovery, target validation, and assay development to support our Neuroscience pipeline, emerging targets, and technologies.

  • Performing advanced data analysis.

  • Keeping up-to-date and well-organized records of experiments.

  • Communicating and reporting experimental findings at group meetings.

  • Publishing experimental results in top-tier journals.

To be considered for this opportunity, candidate must have a PhD degree with 2-3 years of post-doctoral training experience in Biochemistry, Biology, Neuroscience, or related discipline(s). The candidate should have hands-on experience in a laboratory research setting and be comfortable designing, conducting, and interpreting experiments.
