Job Summary

The Vice President of Investor Relations & Public Relations is a full-time role dedicated to enhancing HUYABIO’s presence and reputation across the global pharmaceutical landscape. This highly visible communications leader will develop, implement, and manage strategic and tactical methods in support of the conduct of activities pertaining to all corporate communications to include corporate visibility strategies, media and public relations, public affairs, company and employer branding and internal messaging strategies and execution. Reporting to the CEO and working in close collaboration with the Executive Team, the incumbent will lead HUYABIO’s Investor Relations strategies, manage relationships within the investment community including sell-side analysts, and manage our external and internal communications to ensure clear and consistent messaging across all platforms to all stakeholders, internal and external alike.

This is an office-based position that works in a cross-functional and dynamic environment. Clear, timely, professional, and effective communication with all HUYABIO functional areas and its global office sites is essential.

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and implement a communications strategy for HUYABIO that builds and maintains a positive corporate brand
  • Partner with the CEO to develop marketing and communications strategies for all media engagement, identifying and maximizing opportunities to enhance HUYABIO’s profile across print, digital, wired and broadcast media
  • Develop and manage relationships with applicable industry/media representatives and proactively conduct outreach to drive coverage of HUYABIO
  • Understand and adhere to market trends and communication regulations across the global pharmaceutical landscape
  • Oversee external firms, vendors and/or consultants for high quality deliverables, and manage the budget thereof
  • Develop, implement, and oversee a comprehensive Investor Relations strategy
  • Lead the effort to broaden investor awareness and interest in HUYABIO through conferences, presentations, meetings, media presence, etc.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Investors and sell-side analysts/contacts to ensure delivery of up-to-date information regarding events and market trends affecting the company
  • Serve as primary contact and resource for fielding investor and shareholder inquiries and requests for information
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with finance staff, General Counsel and executive leadership on SEC filing preparations, relevant news releases and publications
  • Oversight of the Investor Relations website section and all its content

 

Job Qualifications and Requirements

  • Established relationships and credibility within the investment community, print, broadcast and wire media and biotech/pharma/life science journalists
  • Uncompromising ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgment and the highest level of discretion; knowledge of SEC and disclosure requirements preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including exceptional ability to present in a clear and concise manner
  • Requires strong planning, organizational, time and project management skills to prioritize and deliver competing priorities and coordinate workflow
  • Experience in managing and overseeing contract IR/PR agencies and vendors
  • Must have strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Demonstrated experience to lead and influence within a matrixed environment
  • Must be independent and highly motivated with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • >25 % of travel.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment to meet tight deadlines.

 

Education and Experience

  • 10+ years in investor relations, finance, marketing, or corporate communications, with direct experience leading Investor Relations and Corporate Communications at a biotech/pharma/life science company
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred in a related discipline
