This role will support Amgens Global Strategic Sourcing (GSS) organization. The Associate Sourcing Operations will be responsible for supporting training and compliance of our policies and procedures across the source to contract process. The Associate Sourcing Operations will report to the Sr. Manager of Sourcing Governance and Compliance based at Amgens Capability Center in Tampa, FL. Our Tampa Capability Center provides essential services that enable us to better pursue our mission to serve patients. This state-of-the art center serves as a base for finance, information systems, and human resources professionals to make a meaningful impact at one of the worlds leading biotechnology companies.

Key Responsibilities:

Support GSS Operations and Processes

  • Subject matter expert for department policy, procedures and tools and provides customer service and training to GSS staff

  • Support activities to drive compliance of GSS staff with applicable global sourcing and contracting procedures; monitor compliance and performance of the process

  • Drive standard processes and ensure best practice sharing across department teams

  • Supports source to contract tools, including supplier record maintenance and various monitoring and reporting activities

  • Support new hire/internal transfer onboarding and training

  • Manage GSS distribution lists

  • Respond to certain cross-functional information requests from teams such as Global Information Protection (GIP), Talent Acquisition (TA), etc.

  • Support global process improvement, change management, communication and training, including ongoing support and guidance

  • Participate in projects to support Global Strategic Sourcing

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree

  • Associates degree and 4 years of Strategic Sourcing and/or Procurement and/or Shared Services experience

  • High school diploma / GED and 6 years of Strategic Sourcing and/or Procurement and/or Shared Services experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with operational, process, and performance improvement projects

  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and synthesize multiple points of view into a streamlined action plan

  • Proven ability as a passionate people-centric teammate who can effectively drive results in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to manage and prioritize projects and tasks appropriately

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Independent self-starter

  • Demonstrated track record of identifying root causes to issues and proactively problem solving

  • Ability to embrace and thrive under ambiguity and continually-evolving organizational structures

  • Technology savvy, experience in Microsoft Office suite is a must, SharePoint is a plus

  • Demonstrated success in partnering cross-functionally

  • Ability to own and strengthen relationships with key users

  • Ability to influence at all levels with a customer service mindset

  • Compelling and persuasive communicator (oral and written) with excellent interpersonal skills

  • Ability to manage results, process and relationships while driving to identified outcomes

  • Ability to organize and follow through consistently and effectively

  • Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with effective communication and thorough follow through
