What you will do

Amgen is seeking a Manager, Global Buying Transformation, to support an ambition to transform finance capabilities. This roll will support development and execution of analytics and a work plan, including interdependencies, to deliver a streamlined Global Buying process as an enabler for continuous information flow for Finance and for the business.

In this role you will support a broader vision of establishing predictive real-time sensing capability, and will partner with workstream leads and other teams supporting a broader capability build. This is an exciting opportunity to help establish a next generation finance processes. The primary objective of this role is to support the Global Buying Transformation Director and Senior Manager to enable continuous accounting close by leveraging process simplification, redesign, and automation best practices.

The location of this role is flexible but is likely to require frequent interactions with the teams based in California and Florida.

Responsibilities:

Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

  • Support Director and Senior Manager, Global Buying Transformation on the journey to transform Global Buying at Amgen

  • Develop and deliver data analytics to enable continuous assessment and prioritization of process improvement opportunities

  • Collaborate with DTI and Automation on translating business requirements

  • Develop and manage the overarching project plan with sufficient detail to execute on it

You will also possess the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

  • Doctorate degree

OR

  • Masters degree and 2 of finance, accounting or similar experience

OR

  • Bachelors degree and4 years of of finance, accounting or similar experience

OR

  • Associates degree and 10 years of of finance, accounting or similar experience

OR

  • High school diploma / GED and 12 years of finance, accounting or similar experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic understanding of source to pay systems and processes, including control requirements

  • Hands on experience with data analytics and familiarity with procurement master data and systems; automation experience is a plus

  • Strong business partnership skills and understanding of core business activities

  • Comfortable with ambiguity; flexible, innovative, and solution-oriented mindset
