We are currently seeking a qualified, highly motivated, experienced individual for the position of Manager, Pricing and Contracting.  The position reports to Senior Director, Pricing & Contracting Strategy.  The location of the position is in Brisbane, CA.

Summary Description

The Manager, Pricing and Contracting will have primary responsibility for contract drafting, process development, contract administration, and price reporting/compliance for Myovant’s prostate cancer and women’s health products, with a specific focus on contracts for PBM, GPO and trade customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Draft, and administer contracts under minimal supervision
  • Partner with the National Accounts Team and Corporate Accounts Team to draft and help negotiate PBM agreements, GPO agreements, and trade agreements (Specialty Distributors, Specialty Pharmacies), and confidentiality agreements as needed
  • Develop and manage contract template processes, including systematic reviews of templates and playbooks, and incorporation of best contracting practices and provisions
  • Work with internal attorneys and other business functions to ensure that templates, and agreements are in compliance with legal requirements and best practices
  • Identify risks and issues, suggest alternatives that lead to the best solution
  • Develop and implement improvements to the contracting process and ongoing compliance
  • Monitor agreements throughout the contract life cycle
  • Verify payment of service fees, administrative fees, and rebates owing, based on contractual obligations and manage process to dispute payments if required
  • Ensure compliance with state price transparency reporting requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; JD or paralegal certification preferred
  • 3-5+ years of direct contract experience, Biotech / Pharmaceutical Industry preferred
  • Ability to independently draft, and administer contracts including redlining of contracts and propose language
  • Excellent contract negotiating, drafting, and influencing skills; expert knowledge of contract structures and types, and contract principles
  • Passionate about innovating the legal service delivery model; possess a strong “service” mindset
  • Practical and enthusiastic problem-solver who is confident and calm under fire and can work independently in a dynamic, fast-changing environment
  • Critical and innovative thinker with excellent business sense and judgment
  • Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills; ability to build consensus, create momentum, work cross-functionally with other departments and varying levels of management

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and ability to learn other Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience with Contract Management systems, (iCertis strongly preferred)
  • Ability to work successfully towards strict deadlines, as well as independently on multiple, simultaneous assignments
  • Good judgment in working with clients, and occasionally under ambiguous or challenging circumstances
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Minimum 5+years of relevant experience in biotechnology or pharmaceutical industries
