U.S. Strategic Marketing is a recently formed team within U.S. Commercial Oncology Marketing. Oncology Franchise Marketing is composed of six sub-teams: Consumer Marketing, Precision Medicine and Diagnostics, Advocacy and Professional Relationships, Strategy Thought Leader Strategy, Strategic Account Marketing and Franchise Marketing. The Franchise Marketing team is responsible for leading strategy and maximizing effectiveness across all of U.S. Oncology as it relates to the following focus areas: Congresses, Sponsorships, Peer-to-Peer Programs, and GPO Execution. This group works collaboratively with other U.S. Commercial Oncology teams to establish and manage strategies derived from brand plans, create annual plans related to the above focus areas, and work alongside AbbVie internal functions to support flawless execution.

The Marketing Manager position will collaborate with Thought Leadership Liaisons (“TLLs”), brand marketing teams and the collaboration partner in the strategy, development and execution of peer-to-peer HCP marketing for hematology brands. This position is also responsible for managing and overseeing Speaker Program operational processes, including managing Speaker Program Vendor(s) to ensure thorough logistical planning and execution within the required timelines in collaboration with TLLs and brand teams. The role will lead content/deck development, provide issue resolution with vendors and the sales force, and lead budget management across the Franchise Marketing Team.

Major Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic content development and gain alignment across Integrated Brand Team(s), collaboration partner and OEC/legal/regulatory and medical for P2P programming content and prioritization
  • Manage and oversee the tactical execution and accountability of key tactics including: - Review and approval of derivative materials
  • Serve as Core team member on new P2P infrastructure build and ensure adherence to relevant policies and procedures related to planning and executing Speaker Programs
  • Stay current on all processes and procedures related to Speaker Programs and socialize and work with training team to support and enhance field awareness and compliance
  • Improve, socialize and drive adoption of the P2P ecosystem with program extension, strategic planning tools, potential on-demand options, and toolkit for virtual programs
  • Develop, socialize, and manage field toolkit for improved execution of virtual and live programs, including but not limited to the Library program, AE resource guide, etc
  • Maintain P2P and franchise marketing budget tracking through alignment with brand teams and other cross-functional partners
  • Ensure stakeholder alignment in a in a fast pace, rapidly evolving environment
  • Opportunity to develop creative content with Brand teams for national Congress planning and help build internal communications plan for national Congresses

 


Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5+ years relevant sales/marketing experience
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with a track record of successful experiences in organizational roles
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
  • Excellent diplomacy and facilitation skills; ability to influence without authority
  • Computer skills, MS Office and third-party software as needed

 

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of AbbVie policies, procedures, culture, and other brand team operations
  • Knowledge and experience in hematology and solid tumor markets preferred
  • Sales/marketing experience preferred
  • Speaker Program management experience desired (Client or Agency)

or

  • Digital marketing and measurement in pharmaceutical healthcare industry experience (Client or Agency)
  • Continuous Improvement and/or Change Management skills
