Finance Manager, G&A FP&A

Specific Responsibilities & Skills:The Finance Manager will be responsible for overall consolidations for Global G&A and will also lead financial analysis and support of the Finance and Controllership organizations. This role reports to the Director, G&A FP&A and will be part of the Corporate and G&A FP&A team. Success in this role will require the ability to cultivate effective business partnerships across Finance, understand key drivers, drive process improvements and develop an executive level story. The Finance Manager will be viewed as a key partner and “go to person” for financial analysis, insight, and counsel.

Essential Duties & Job Functions:Responsibilities include:
  • Lead G&A consolidations with month/quarter close narrative and presentation. Consolidate G&A results and prepare close package and quarterly finance review for Finance leadership.
  • Develop a strong understanding of all key performance drivers & issues relating to budget, actual results & forecast updates. Incorporate understanding into quantitative and qualitative analysis of the business' financial results including variances. Ensure key issues, risks, and business drivers are understood and highlighted.
  • Lead development of the annual operational forecasts of the Finance, Controllership, Tax and Audit organizations. Collaborate with other Finance functions in the development, review and approval of key planning assumptions. Present to senior level business partners.
  • Work with Finance and Accounting Teams to oversee the financial close. This includes expense accruals, and budget vs. actual variance analysis.
  • Proactively implement process improvements to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of our reporting and analysis.
  • Build strong business partnerships through regular meetings and close collaboration.
  • Collaborate with senior members of the FP&A team to manage the annual planning calendar.
  • Independently manage multiple tasks in a deadline driven environment with a high level of precision.
  • Play a key role in ERP implementation for the G&A team to optimize close, reporting and forecast processes.
  • Champion report automation and data visualization to better support the business.

  • Ability to oscillate between detail and big-picture and tell the executive level story.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to, and management of detail.


Knowledge, Experience, & Skills:The preferred candidate will possess:
  • A minimum of 6+ years of experience, having held positions of increasing scope and responsibility.
  • Consolidations experience strongly preferred.
  • A BS or BA is required, and an MBA or CPA is preferred.
  • Prior experience in biotech or pharma is a plus, but not necessary.
  • In-depth proficiency in aspects of accounting and finance and knowledge of US GAAP is required.
  • Able to apply knowledge to complex problem solving.
  • In depth knowledge Business Intelligence, Planning and ERP systems is preferred (Working knowledge of Hyperion, Oracle, SAP preferred).
  • Experience in high-growth, multi-national organization a plus.
