Continuous Improvement/Operational Excellence Specialist

We are looking for an energetic and people-oriented process thinker with well-developed analytical and coaching skills. You are able to connect on various levels with colleagues from different cultures. You know how to combine decisiveness with finesse.

As a Continuous Improvement/Operational Excellence Specialist you will create and roll-out aspects of the Operational Excellence (OE) efforts at Kite's manufacturing site in Hoofddorp in line with the site OE program. You will help guide and lead OE project teams and assist in training employees on OE tools and techniques. You will be reporting to the Senior Manager, Operational Excellence.

Department

You will be part of the Business Support Operations department of our site in Hoofddorp. You will help to shape our organization going forward with your personal experience and motivation. The department provides various types of support to the site - Project and Portfolio Management, Operational Excellence, Administrative support etc. As a member of the department, besides having a core area of expertise, you will also be able to learn, develop and contribute in other areas to bring benefit to the site.

Your Responsibilities
  • guide and lead OE project teams
  • train and coach employees on OE tools and techniques, such as:
    • Process and Value Stream Mapping
    • 8 Wastes
    • 5S and Visual Controls
    • Root Cause Analysis
    • Kaizen events
    • Standard Work / Leader Standard Work
  • foster continuous improvement culture
  • build relationships and perform stakeholder management


Your Profile

Knowledge/Experience

Required:
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience ideally in the life sciences sector (biotech/pharma/devices)
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Six Sigma and Lean principles - Green Belt certification preferred


Preferred:
  • Knowledge and understanding of Change Management principles and methodologies


Personal skills
  • Ability to support and manage complex process improvement projects with strong facilitation skills
  • Ability to understand and pick up things quickly
  • Ability to engage internal stakeholders effectively, facilitate discussions, influence effectively and develop relationships;
  • Must be Self-motivated, proactive and responsive, organized, results-oriented and attentive to detail
  • Be comfortable and efficient in a demanding, fast-paced, dynamic, often fluid environment
