What you will do

Lets do this. Lets change the world. In this vital role you will lead Amgens drug product technologies lab operations and compliance lead for cellular sciences. You will be accountable for serving every patient every time by transforming drug product processes into reliable and efficient manufacturing operations using advanced scientific and engineering principles. Specifically, the successful candidate will:

  • Oversee the upkeep of all development lab space to appropriate standards for effective scientific use

  • Build relationships with strategic partners to deliver improved instrument maintenance and oversight

  • Lead and execute the introduction of new capital equipment and specialized supply purchasing for the Thousand Oaks site

  • Assist with budget management for lab operations and the underlying areas serviced

  • Foster dynamic relationships with scientists to better serve their needs in the lab

  • Project manage various business or operations related initiatives

Basic Qualifications:

Masters degree

Or

Bachelors degree and 2 years of Lab Ops OR Scientific experience

Or

Associates degree and 6 years of Lab Ops OR Scientific experience

Or

High school diploma / GED and 8 years of Lab Ops OR Scientific experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication as well as documentation practices

  • Experience doing lab work or in maintaining advanced scientific instrumentation

  • Proven ability in successful project management

  • Previous experience in lab operations or in managing a lab in any other capacity
