We are looking for a Temporary Research Associate to join our Operations Excellence Team. The person in this role will support the operations manager in the Formulation Development Group (FDG) by establishing and optimizing information management systems to facilitate program management and improve operational efficiency. The incumbent will work closely with the project teams to develop project management tools and platforms. The individual may also support a variety of operational initiatives, including internal research and development activities as well as external collaborations.

A day in the life of someone on the Operations Excellence team may look like this:

  • Provides critical support in developing information management tools and platforms to automatically track critical R&D activities, New Hire Onboarding process, R&D workflows, and deliverable timelines.
  • Ensures smooth data migration and information transitions from different information management systems.
  • Identifies and evaluates new communication approaches to improve program oversight, facilitate program execution, and improve information sharing.
  • Support development of departmental standard methodology guidance, knowledge databases, templates, and resource capability documents.
  • Develops and runs work plans, decision and action logs, status updates, and escalation of risks and issues of responsive work.
  • Coordinate the compilation and creation of appropriate briefing materials, including the development of presentations

  • You are highly self-motivated, flexible, able to follow through in an ambiguous, constantly evolving environment, and shown the ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
  • You enjoy being organized and detail-oriented, while also demonstrating the ability to synthesize information and demonstrate critical thinking.
In order to be considered qualified, you must:
  • Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or a related field.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams; and cloud-based tools such as SharePoint, Smartsheet, Qlik.
  • Understanding of drug product research and development process is a plus.
