Essential Functions and Responsibilities- Support Engineering Ops department in providing front line instrumentation and test fixture support for internal R&D and operations teams
- Work closely with optical, mechanical, fluidic, electrical, and other engineering teams to troubleshoot and repair instrumentation and text fixture issues and provide design feedback
- Drive and execute instrument and subsystem reliability tests
- Collect and analyze large data sets to interpret system performance
- Contribute to overall integration of instrument mechanical, electrical, motion, fluidic and thermal design
- Interface with systems integration, chemistry, commercial, and operations teams to provide system level subject matter expertise
- Collaborate with internal and external partners on subsystem design and transfer to manufacture
- Collaborate with internal and external partners on engineering text fixture design and troubleshooting
- Other duties as assigned
- Hands-on hardware troubleshooting and repair ability
- Advanced statistical analysis in excel, JMP, or other statistical analysis software
- Scripting analysis in MATLAB, Python, R, or other comparable language
- Familiar with reliability engineering concepts (MTBF, Preventative Maintenance Optimization, etc.)
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks with different priorities
- Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment and adjust to rapidly evolving technology
- Minimum BS degree in Mechanical/Systems/Bioengineering or similar field
- 5+ years related work experience in a similar field required
- History of working in multidisciplinary field including biochemistry, biology, optics, mechanics, fluidics, electrical, and software
- Experience with data analysis in LabVIEW, MATLAB, python or other programing languages or statistics software
- Experience presenting data in a peer design review format
- Experience troubleshooting electrical components (PCBA, cabling, etc.) a plus
- Experience with image analysis and signal processing
