Director, Real World Data Partnerships

The newly created Director, Real World Data Partnerships role will be an early member of a cross-functional team tasked with executing Freenome’s RWD strategy.  Your efforts will contribute to the development, commercialization, and lifecycle management of a portfolio of early cancer detection products - based on both clinical and multiomic data - that will enable payers, providers, and patients to catch cancers early when curative intervention is most achievable.

You will utilize your knowledge and experience with RWD, healthcare IT, and data analytics applications across the healthcare system to establish and advance long-term data partnerships with health systems and payers.

How you’ll contribute:

  • Develop and own execution of our RWD partnership strategy and roadmap
    • Maintain a pulse on RWD and early cancer detection industry dynamics and competitive landscape
    • Identify and prioritize target industry segments and specific health systems, health plans, and other strategic partners
  • Drive establishment of new, long-term RWD partnership agreements to support data product development and RWD studies.  Lead outreach and relationship development, as well as structuring, negotiation, and signing of contracts
  • Lead RWD acquisition efforts from data providers including data aggregators, health systems, health plans, and other data sources
  • Plan for and execute commercial launch of Freenome’s data products
  • Provide business leadership to cross-functional RWD initiatives

What you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an analytical, technical, or scientific field, advanced degree preferred
  • At least ten years of experience in business development, corporate development, or similar role
  • Extensive experience negotiating data partnerships with health systems and/or health plans involving EHR and/or claims data.  Familiarity with technological complexities and patient privacy regulations that impact such partnerships
  • Intimate familiarity with the RWD ecosystem, industry trends, and the potential to leverage clinical data analytics to improve care delivery and patient outcomes
  • Strong business acumen, including strategy and financial skills
  • Excellent relationship management and verbal and written communication skills
  • Solutions-oriented, bias-to-action, and track record of delivering results.

COVID safety:

As a condition of employment, you agree to know and comply with our COVID-19 vaccination policy requiring all employees who work on-site and/or attend work-related events to be fully vaccinated and to receive a COVID-19 booster once eligible.
