The Associate Director Planning/S&OP – Business Technology Solutions (BTS) will be responsible for leading & aligning technology solutions to business strategies by working with our business leaders in the planning/S&OP areas. The individual is responsible for all Business Relationship Management activities, Vendor Management, Systems Strategy, Platform Integration, and Execution for our Planning systems.  The candidate will also build & lead a highly skilled team of employee business consultants/analysts that are capable of advancing business efforts through technology solutions. Leads the development and on-going refresh of the business-related BTS strategy for the function or multiple functions.  Proactively identifies areas of opportunity to apply BTS for new business opportunities, process improvement, and cost efficiencies. Acts as a trusted advisor to the business. Key point of contact for overall IT needs of the function or multiple functions.    

Responsibilities:

• Implements Planning/Forecasting BlueYounder (JDA), Inventory systems/strategies and other general supply chain platforms, MRP/ERP and other forecasting platforms.  Example platform models include – Cloud, Hosted, SAAS, and packaged business/technology services – exception-based control tower concepts and the creation of a multi-enterprise supply chain business network
• Aligns and leads with functional counterparts and other BTS resources to help ensure supply management and prioritization, funding alignment, architecture alignment, vendor management, security management, master data management, knowledge management, communications management, and disaster recovery.
• Coaching leadership skills as well as the ability to transform and build skilled teams is key as Supply Chain moves into a digital age.
• Develops strong business relationships and demonstrates business process knowledge expertise in the respective supply chain systems.
• Manages team of employees and external consulting resources who are responsible for partnering with business stakeholders and IT resources to deliver technical solutions that solve business problems – capital & expense budgetary responsibilities
• Holds overall oversight/responsibility for the preparation of system development cost estimates, budgets, and schedules. Prepares and presents project proposals to management and business partner departments for assigned area. Delivers programs and projects in an Agile delivery model.
• Partners with IT, business leaders, software vendors for the management of overall technical design, development, architecture and deployment
• Manages relationships between clients and other BTS organizations to assure effective communication between the groups is occurring. Brokers services within BTS community on behalf of customers; coordinates portfolio of solutions and identifies interdependencies.
• Allies with other BTS functional areas to remain current on project status, and inform functional clients of progress; conversely, keeps BTS managers aware of user issues and resolves conflicts.

 

 

 

 

Qualifications

 

• Bachelor's Degree with 9 years’ experience; Master's Degree with 8 years’ experience; PhD with 4 years’ experience preferably in Supply Planning & forecasting software.  Engineering, business, information systems, or a discipline closely related to Supply Chain planning, forecasting, control towers, and digital supply chain enablement. 
•  Employee development and transformational leadership experiences – your personal brand should reflect these leadership characteristics
• Thought leadership and visionary influence across digital supply chain concepts
• Experience delivering Enterprise Resource Planning Systems and the ecosystems with which they operate
• Previous experience implementing JDA platforms a plus. 
• Experience in other Supply Chain technology areas that are applicable to Logistics is welcome
• Excellent communications skills to support a functionally and geographically diverse organization
