Senior Manager Process Development- Attribute Science

What you will do

Lets do this. Lets change the world! In this vital role you will direct activities of the technical services group to support manufacturing. Lead an organization to ensure quality support. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Management and coordination of the day to day laboratory activities, which includes testing supporting extraneous matter investigations and closure of related deviations in manufacturing..
  • Close collaboration with partner organizations in manufacturing (drug substance / drug product) and quality (quality assurance and quality control), as well as other functions within process development.
  • Presentations of outcomes from extraneous matter investigations linked to deviations to senior management.
  • Provides guidance to subordinates based on departmental/site goals and company policy.
  • Design and execute studies, interpret results, author technical reports and Chemistry, Manufacturing and Controls (CMC) sections in regulatory documents
  • Work is reviewed in terms of meeting functional objectives and schedules.
  • Determines and pursues courses of action necessary to obtain desired functional results.
  • Work checked through consultation and agreement with others rather than by formal review of supervisor.
  • Responsible for all projects assigned to their functional organization.
  • Direct oversight and engagement in the career development and mentorship of a diverse group.
  • Develop goals and objectives for the group.
  • Provide group technical guidance.
  • Make budget recommendation and oversee expenditures.
  • Supervise staff, providing performance appraisals, hiring, and handling staff relations issues.


What we expect of you

We are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients! The Senior Manager Process Development professional we seek is a collaborative leader with these qualifications.

Doctorate degree and 2 years of combined Process Development, Quality and/or direct Manufacturing GMP regulated experience


Masters degree and 6 years of combined Process Development, Quality and/or direct Manufacturing GMP regulated experience


Bachelors degree and 8 years of combined Process Development, Quality and/or direct Manufacturing GMP regulated experience


Associate's degree and 10 years of combined Process Development, Quality and/or direct Manufacturing GMP regulated experience


High School / GED and 12 years of combined Process Development, Quality and/or direct Manufacturing GMP regulated experience


2 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, and programs or directing the allocation of resources.

Beyond that, additional preferred qualifications are:

  • Educational Discipline in Biochemistry and/or Chemistry
  • Experience managing a technical group.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
  • Ability to prioritize efforts and delegates resources.
  • Multi-task project expertise
