Scientist, External Research Manager - In Vivo Pharmacology

The Impact You’ll Make

• Deploy your experience with syngeneic, PDX, and CDX mouse models to advance a large suite of preclinical oncology programs
• Build strong relationships with external research partners
• Identify new and bold opportunities to accelerate preclinical drug programs
• Partner with drug discovery project teams to build out critical efficacy, safety and biomarker data
• Oversight of data collection, analysis and reporting of in vivo studies
• Explore scientific literature outside of one’s immediate area of expertise and apply this to adapt efficacy study designs

The Team You’ll Join

Reporting to the Director, Translational Oncology, you will join a truly cross-functional team of data scientists, engineers, chemists and biologists, engaging Recursion’s world-class drug discovery technology and genomic datasets, to discover and advance therapeutic programs. This role will expand and accelerate production of in vivo data, key to advancing programs toward the clinic.

The Experience You’ll Need

• PhD in relevant field (oncology or immuno-oncology) and 3+ years of experience or MS in a relevant field and 5+ years of experience
• Experience in planning, management, and execution and/or participating in xenograft rodent models
• Experience in flow cytometry measurements is desirable
• Experience driving in vivo studies at CROs testing experimental compounds
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask to coordinate studies with varying project teams
• Ability to effectively communicate verbally and give presentations describing proposed studies and/or experimental results
