The Associate Director, Patient Engagement sits within the Clinical Development Operations (CDO) organization. This role will report into the Director, Patient Engagement & Inclusion Solutions. To do so, we must drive establish solutions to enable early, timely and systematic integration of diverse perspectives into strategic decision-making during the drug development process. The Associate Director, Patient Engagement sits within the Clinical Development Operations (CDO) organization. This role will report into the Director, Patient Engagement & Inclusion Solutions. 

  • Develop framework for creating a Clinical Trial Journey from Anchor 0 Patient Journey
  • Work cross-functionally to integrate empathy immersions and clinical trial journey into Therapeutic Area Training
  • Complete patient engagement plan for indications and present plan for IEST alignment and endorsement
  • Develop survey questions and management of the Global All Investigator Survey and work with Business Insights on the benchmarking of results and actionable recommendations
  • Deliver protocol inclusivity report outline of recommendations from patient engagement projects that render clear and actionable output for operational execution
  • Deliver a digital tools/decentralized trial report outline of recommendations from patient engagement projects that render clear and actionable output for operational execution and key support tools needed for implementation success
  • Prioritize portfolio demands for patient engagement plan development
  • Collaborate with team members to inform AbbVie Clinical Trial External Identity, ADMIRE advocate identification plan, and patient messaging framework
  • Review materials to be catalogued for knowledge management tool
  • Work with business insights and the team to collect information for KPI tracking

 


Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree required. Advanced degree is desirable.
  • Minimum of 10 years + of pharma-related/clinical research experience or equivalent
  • 10 years+ of patient recruitment and project management (preferred)
  • Operational understanding of the global regulatory environment is desirable.
  • Excellent collaborator and articulate communicator – easily build relationships across geographic locations and gains cross functional alignment.
  • Ability to communicate persuasively with clarity, flexibility, and adaptability to changing requirements, resourcefulness, and creativity
  • Strategic thinker with excellent business and financial aptitude, very analytical and uses data to drive the business and continuous improvements.
