Our US branch focuses on business development, sales and customer support for the North American market.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR

Our growing company is in need of an experienced and resourceful Head of Operations & Business Manager to build, organize and oversee the daily operations of our US branch. Foremost we are looking for someone who is comfortable building an organization from the ground up and, managing and grow key customer accounts. We look for someone who can work autonomously and who has a thorough knowledge of all company processes. The person will be required to travel 25-40% of the time.

We look for someone who is based on (or willing to relocate to) the US East Coast between Boston, MA and Washington, DC.

The person will report to the company’s CEO.

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for a wide range of domains related to the US branch’s activities: sales, business development, human resources, budgetting, reporting.
  • Establish the branch’s goals and objectives.
  • Develop value propositions and action plans to increase the portfolio of opportunities in the North American market.
  • Develop and maintain solid relationships with key clients.
  • Manage all the business aspects of an ongoing commercial partnership with a Leader in Life Sciences Instrumentation and Reagents.
  • Manage framework for partnership agreements and responsibly lead deal negotations for business development activities .
  • Leverage the standard sales processes, tools, and appropriate business support functions to convert and support new customers and new projects.
  • Recruit new employees in sales, product support, application support and servicing.
  • Mentor, lead and evaluate the performance of the Norh American team.
  • Setup and use specific KPIs for account management, use business systems to forecast revenue, demonstrate a high level of account management and control.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS Education and experience

  • Previous roles in Commercial Operations/Operations.
  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business management.
  • Proven experience as Business Manager or equivalent position.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Life Sciences Instrumentation and Bioprocessing industries.
  • Having worked in, and being comfortable with a start-up environment is strongly recommended.
