The Sr. Associate, Contracts and Pricing Execution is a key member of the Managed Care Rebates (MCO) team within Amgens US Value and Access (US V&A) organization. This position is primarily responsible for providing data and analytical support across the entire MCO team, which includes the design and implementation of data-intensive and process automation projects, developing spreadsheet models for moderately complex financial analyses, designing databases, data collection systems, data analytics and KPIs, leading and participating in cross-functional/special projects, collaborating with IS to assist in system requirements development and identify/recommend process improvements.

This position will participate in system implementation efforts currently ongoing to upgrade the rebate management system, which includes but is not limited to, working with 3rd party vendor in business testing of functional requirements, documentation of formal testing, communicating issues and/or defects, and contributing insights in ongoing project meetings. This position also operates within a fast-paced environment and closely collaborates with several cross-functional groups including IS, Payer Contracting, Coverage and Pricing, Market Access, Government Pricing, Finance and Legal.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Masters degree
  • Bachelors degree and 2 years of data analysis, sales, marketing, finance, contracts and/or project management experience
  • Associates degree and 6 years of sales, marketing, finance, contracts and/or project management experience
  • High school diploma / GED and 8 years of sales, marketing, finance, contracts and/or project management experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced experience with data analysis and reporting software including MS Excel, Alteryx, Tableau, SQL and/or Power Query
  • Advanced computer & system operations skills
  • High attention to detail/reporting accuracy, while also able to focus on the overall problem/solution
  • Complex problem-solving capability that identifies problems within the department and develops innovative solutions from a strategic and operational perspective
  • Experience in a pharmaceutical/biotech environment
  • Demonstrated track record of increasing responsibility
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with internal team members and cross-functional business partners
  • Completes projects and makes decisions with minimal direction and strong ability to develop prioritization and completion timeframes for multiple assignments
  • Self-motivated and owns a project from inception to completion
  • Thinks strategically (can see the big picture) while delivering results at the appropriate level of detail
  • Ability to navigate through ambiguous situations
  • Strong presentation skills
