Job Summary:

The Immunology group is seeking self-motivated, collaborative, and technically skilled researchers with expertise in the field of immunology who wishes to play a key role in advancing novel immunotherapy drug candidates from the discovery phase into the clinic.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and in-license bioinformatics tools to analyze and visualize complex datasets.
  • Use appropriate statistical methods to aid in triaging potential targets.
  • Work collaboratively with team members, colleagues and collaborators.
  • Apply AI/ML methods to evaluate genomic, transcriptomic and proteomics datasets.
  • Conduct a variety of assays to test drug candidates. Contribute to assay development and drug discovery effort in the Immunology team.
  • Validate potential new targets and establish pharmacological readouts for pipeline candidates.
  • Contribute both intellectually and experimentally as part of a multidisciplinary team, presenting data at both internal and external research meetings
  • Report research data to supervisors in a timely and precise fashion. 5. Contribute to document preparations such as IND and patent applications and manuscript submissions.
  • Represent Innovent at conferences and present appropriate results for publications and patent applications.

Requirements:

  • Ph.D. with 0-2 years of experience or M.S. with 3-4 years of experience working in a biotechnology/pharmaceutical company environment
  • Proficient in Python and R programming languages
  • Proficient in developing databases and using Spotfire or other data visualization tools
  • Experience in image processing is a plus
  • Must be possess excellent communication skills and be able to present complex concepts to an audience of varying expertise
  • Must have good leadership and mentoring skills
  • Must have good knowledge of signaling pathways and networks in oncology
  • PhD with experience in immunology research, or BSc/MSc 3+ year experience (title will be commensurate with experience).
  • Experiences developing relevant immunological assays for drug development. Past participation in drug discovery is a plus.
  • Experience in various in vitro cell based assays, including cell culture, ELISA, multi-color flow cytometry is required.
  • Capability of multitasking and keen awareness of timeliness in work handling and delivery.
  • Good communication skills and function efficiently in a work environment that embraces diversity.
