Purpose Statement:

This role provides critical accounting support for Treasury and Corporate Accounting. Activities include preparation of related month-end journal entries, cash flow reporting schedules, account reconciliations, and financial statement footnotes to support the Company’s 10-Q/10-K filings.  This role is also involved in evaluating and communicating accounting impacts for new transactions as well as improving and streamlining current processes.  This role interacts with several internal stakeholders including Treasury, External Reporting, Shared Services, Consolidations, Corporate FP&A and Tax.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Account for Treasury related activities including debt, cash, investments in debt and equity securities, and derivatives and hedging
  • Review and reconcile actual data from accounting systems (HFM and SAP), identify issues and collaborate with Treasury to resolve
  • Prepare and review month-end journal entries, supporting schedules, and account reconciliations 
  • Prepare SEC reporting disclosures for fair value measurements, financial instruments, debt, credit facilities and liquidity
  • Collaborate with External Reporting and Consolidations to support monthly and quarterly financial reporting processes
  • Perform research and evaluate accounting impacts for new Treasury and Corporate Accounting activities
  • Assist in ad hoc Treasury and Corporate Accounting projects including process improvement initiatives
  • Provide Treasury related accounting information to Tax as needed

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
  • CPA preferred
  • 4 - 6 years of finance and accounting experience preferred
  • Ability to learn technical accounting concepts. Prior derivatives and hedging accounting experience a plus but not required. Applicable training will be provided.
  • Ability to work independently and adjust priorities to achieve accurate and timely results
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to collaborate across functions
  • Proficient in SAP, HFM and Excel
  • Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and aptitude for continuous improvement
