High School diploma or GED. With 3 to 6 months of shipping & receiving experience preferred.
Strong attention to detail.
Familiarity with basic computer applications such as email, MS Word, and Excel.

Essential Position Responsibilities
Receive product from common carriers and couriers following established documentation practices.
Unpack and examine samples/materials received and verify against packing slips. Inspects packages for evidence of damage or leaking and distributes to appropriate laboratory.
Requires individual to operate fork-lift and box truck. Prepares and maintain records of items shipped.
Assist with weekly cycle count.
Complete chain of custody documentation for incoming specimens as appropriate
Deliver incoming materials and specimens (i.e., supplies, chemicals, test articles, or samples) where appropriate.
Prepare documentation for and coordinate courier deliveries.
Prepare out-going shipments (including residual samples and test articles, data packages, and reports) and completes required documentation.
Package materials and label boxes as required.
Maintain certification for shipping of hazardous materials (i.e., IATA/DOT)
Assists in maintaining loading dock inventory and consumables. Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly dock area.
Maintain stock of packing supplies and shipping materials.
Demonstrate an understanding of SOPs and Good Laboratory Practice Regulations (21CFR, Part 58) as they relate to study specific services provided, this job description and general facility operations.
Document all GLP and process training, provide a CV, and ensure that his/her training file is kept current.
Sort and delivers mail and packages between company buildings as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Must be qualified to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License and maintain a good driving record.
Moderate physical activity. This position will require frequent walking, sitting and/or standing for extended periods of time, carrying, heavy lifting (max. 50 lbs), reaching while standing, gripping and twisting hand movements, finger control and other general repetitive motions (for more than four  hours per day)
Able to wear latex or nitrile gloves, dust mask or respirator, and safety glasses as required.
Ability to read and understand applicable materials.
Manual dexterity to operate calculator/computers.
Work is normally performed in a loading dock, interior office work and laboratory environments.
Work environment involves potential exposure to dangerous materials and situations that require following extensive safety precautions and may include use of protective equipment.
The noise level is usually low to moderate.
This position may be subject to exposure to test articles, hazardous waste, solvents, grease, oil, irritants, acids, bases, and other hazardous chemicals, electro-mechanical hazards, flammable materials and bio-hazards.
