seqWell Inc. is seeking a talented Production Scientist to join our rapidly expanding team. As we grow and expand our capacity in our Beverly, MA facility, we are seeking a Production Scientist to help support the manufacturing of our growing product lines. As a member of the team you will work with the technical production team to ensure that materials are manufactured to product specifications before being transferred to our contract manufacturer for final assembly.
You will prepare next generation sequencing libraries, QC those libraries, and analyze the data. In addition, you will conduct other laboratory duties in support of manufacturing like QC procedures and custom product assembly. You will become an expert in DNA sequencing and understand all of the nuances of creating a quality product in this growing organization.

How you will contribute:
Supports production of next generation sequencing reagent products Works with the team to complete production materials for transfer to contract manufacture
Prepares and sequences next generation sequencing libraries for Illumina
Completes library QC including tapestation, bioanalyzer, and sequencing run review
Assembles reagent kits, as required
Follows all standard operating procedures and bills of material
If necessary the individual troubleshoots equipment malfunctions and performs instrument calibrations
What you will bring:
General laboratory experience. Use of bioanalyzer, tape station, liquid handling robots preferred A theoretical understanding of and experience with next generation DNA sequencing.
Able to work in a team environment
Strong communications skills and the ability to work with other departments, particularly R&D
Bachelor’s degree in a related field required
1-2 years experience in a laboratory, preferable with DNA sequencing
