Account Development Leads (ADLs) will be responsible for facilitating contracting, account management, and coordination primarily for infusion provider accounts.  ADLs will provide appropriate insights to internal stakeholders, and help support infusion providers with product acquisition, education, and account management.  ADLs will engage and develop business relationships with key decision-makers including, but not limited to, C-suite, Operations Directors, Pharmacy Directors and Business Managers.  This dynamic and critical role requires an established leader with proven capabilities in the IV/Injectable buy-and-bill market and other areas of the pharmaceutical and health care industry. 

Major Responsibilities Include (but not limited to):

  1. Build and maintain strong business-to-business relationships with account decision makers responsible for purchasing/contracting decisions to support patient access.
  2. Responsible for providing insights to key internal stakeholders, facilitating contracting, and communicating approved contract terms with infusion sites of care.
  3. Responsible for integrating rapid changes in the customer landscape and changes in contracting approaches
  4. Implementing approved contracting strategies to achieve goals, consistent with AbbVie objectives and policies
  5. Support contracting with accounts, including pricing and purchasing communications
  6. Collaborate cross functionally to act as a liaison between AbbVie and customer decision makers to assist the execution of contracts consistent with established enterprise-wide policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  7. Assist contract processes by compiling information for contracts and working in coordination with centralized pricing committee and finance group
  8. Provide regular reporting of account trends
  9. Manage procurement challenges and support pricing changes
  10. Lead account management primarily with infusion provider models and contracted accounts
  11. Triage customer requests/troubleshooting to appropriate AbbVie extended team members in a timely and appropriate manner.

Candidate experience will determine grade level 


Qualifications
  • Extensive experience in buy-and-bill contracting, account management or similar analogue
  • Five to ten years of pharmaceutical experience preferred
  • Gastroenterology or immunology experience preferred
  • Demonstrated cross-functional team leadership; strong executive presence; established ability to work with diverse individuals, customers and teams
  • Outstanding oral, written and presentation communication skills
  • Proven ability to anticipate market events and changes in pricing policies and to timely develop ways to address with customers
  • Advanced understanding of the laws, rules, and regulations governing pharmaceutical contracting and marketing
  • Strong aptitude in finance and contracting
  • BA or BS required, advanced degree and/or advanced training desirable
  • Extensive travel anticipated within assigned geography (~50-60%)
