The Gilead Associate Director, Marketing, HIV Healthcare Provider (HCP) Non-Personal Promo (NPP), will be responsible for supporting Sales and Marketing efforts by driving promotions excellence for our flagship product and market shaping in the HIV Treatment market. This role includes assisting with the development and implementation of HCP NPP strategies and tactics. The role will report directly to the Director, HIV HCP Marketing.

Specific responsibilities will include:
  • Contribute to the development of NPP strategy for the Gilead HIV portfolio
  • Executing HCP focused NPP branded tactics including but not limited to, websites, email marketing, social media, digital/print media initiatives, SEO/SEM; ensuring that they meet the strategic objectives outlined in the annual business plan
  • Conducting qualitative and quantitative analysis of current initiatives to determine optimal resource allocation and continuous improvement of the NPP program
  • Tracking trends in the use of digital/multi-channel approaches to engage customer segments, such as healthcare professionals, emerging prescribers, and pharmacy
  • Gaining approval for marketing materials through internal review process including management reviews and Med-Legal-Reg. Secures final production
  • Managing advertising agencies and other external resources in the development of tactics and tactical plans
  • Assisting in managing NPP promo budget and project timelines
  • Working cross-functionally with Sales, Legal, Regulatory, Medical, Market Research, Sales Analytics and Managed Markets and other key internal stakeholders.


Qualifications include:
  • 10+ years' experience with Bachelor's Degree or 8+ years' experience with a Master's Degree -relevant pharmaceutical/biotech industry experience
  • Consulting background also considered with relevant experience in NPP
  • Bachelor's Degree in marketing or related fields minimum; MBA or other graduate degree (preferred)
  • Demonstrated excellence in project management including planning, prioritization, execution, analytical assessment and performance management
  • Ability to successfully adapt tactical plans based on unexpected market events or within tight timelines
  • Excellent communications skills with an ability to effectively communicate both orally and written
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to coordinate and lead strategic partners, key stakeholders and internal teams for strong collaboration & teamwork
  • Ability to analyze customer insights; understands market dynamics, and connect tactics with customer engagement objectives
  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to generate appropriate digital metrics, assess ROI on spends and adeptly manage complex budgets
  • Understanding of biopharmaceutical regulatory requirements


The successful candidate will be highly collaborative, coachable, perceptive and an analytical problem solver with a track record of success in the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry. They will be comfortable making decisions in ambiguous situations, and is a team player, manifests trust, and is known for their ethics and integrity. Importantly, the successful candidate will put patients first and have a significant respect for science.
