Summary Responsible for developing and executing Supply Chain Strategies for DSI Released Finished Pharmaceutical Products from Transportation to the FInshed Goods Warehouse through Receipt by the Trade Customer. Responsible for strategy development, execution and performance of Finished Goods Receipt and Storage; Trade Sales, Distribution and Transportation, Order To Cash (O2C), Third Party and Trade Account Contracting and Management, Product Returns and all associated systems and processes. Identify and establish capabilities needed to improve Trade and Distribution activities for existing and new products. Ensure compliance with all regulations including FDA (e.g DSCSA, PDMA, and GMP), DEA, OSHA, DOT, FTC, ICC, etc. Responsibilities
  • Design the supply chain of existing and new DSI pharmaceutical products from finished goods storage though receipt by trade customers. Develop and execute supply chain strategies and tactics for key activities including transportation, storage, trades sales, delivery, return and destruction. Design and develop processes and systems to monitor DSI finished goods throughout the entire supply chain including pharmacies. Work with key stakeholders throughout DSI as well as global DS colleagues to ensure these strategies and tactics support overall DSI strategies and objectives.
  • Negotiate contracts with trade customers including fee for service agreements. Negotiate contracts with service providers including third party logistics organizations, transportation companies and channel commerce management vendors. Responsible for ongoing review and amendment of contract provisions to ensure evolving DSI objectives are achieved.
  • Manage all systems and processes related to the compliant storage, transportation, trade sales, recalls, withdrawals, returns and destruction of DSI finished goods products. Manage contracts between DSI and service providers. Manage service provider performance and their compliance with contract and business requirements. Set up and manage relevant SOPs as well as stakeholder and service provider training. Develop and support processes with key stakeholders including needs analysis, solutions development, contract requirements and sales & operations planning. Work with DS Quality Assurance teams to ensure DSI and service providers' compliance with all regulations including FDA (e.g DSCSA, PDMA, and GMP), DEA, OSHA, DOT, FTC, ICC, etc.
  • Lead a team of professionals. Responsible for hiring team members. Accountable for individual and team training, performance and compliance with all DSI and team requirements
Qualifications: Successful candidates will be able to meet the qualifications below with or without a reasonable accommodation.Education Qualifications (from an accredited college or university)
  • Bachelor's Degree Logistics, Engineering, Business or related field required
  • Master's Degree Logistics, Engineering, Business or related field preferred
Experience Qualifications
  • 10 or More Years of progressive pharmaceutical experience, distribution management experience coupled with trade relations or direct customer facing responsibility required
  • Experience should include trade account management, third party logistics or warehouse management, data management, service agreement negotiation, order fulfillment, customer service, and transportation. Experience working with third-party service providers, and managing multiple teams. Experience in leading and working on cross-functional teams required
  • Familiarity with wholesaler/customer business models required
Licenses and Certifications
  • Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM)-APICS and CLM certifications preferred
Physical RequirementsAbility to travel with personal belongings and company equipment by plane, train, bus or automobile.
