Scientist/Associate Scientist – Analytical Development

We seek a highly talented and motivated Senior Scientist to join a new development team in San Diego. Adcentrx Therapeutics is driving ground-breaking efforts in cancer biotherapeutics drug development. The candidate will help to develop novel targeted therapeutics that can make a difference in the life of cancer patients.

The scientist will report to the Head of Analytical Development and will work closely with members of the development team, as well as the research team. The candidate will be part of a cross-functional team in a highly collaborative and dynamic environment working closely on a shared mission. The candidate will be mentored and to grow over time into a recognized leader in bio-oncology drug development.

Responsibilities:

The candidate will be responsible for utilizing analytical methods for the characterization of biologic, small molecule, and conjugate therapeutics. In this role, they will be working as part of a multi- disciplinary team including organic chemists, chemical engineers, analytical chemists and biologists. They will be responsible for in-process sample testing, method transfer, manufacturing support for clinical candidates. Responsibilities include in-process sample purification, in-process sample testing, routine HPLC maintenance and troubleshooting on Agilent Chromatography systems and CE systems. They will interface with internal development teams as well as internal and external manufacturing sites.

Qualifications:

• BS, MS, or PhD in chemistry, analytical chemistry or other relevant disciplines.

• Experience with high pressure chromatography systems and software required.

• Experience with capillary electrophoresis preferred.

• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.

• Experience with electronic notebook programs preferred.

• Understand and adhere to safety, quality and cGMP standards.

• Ability to stand for more than 4 hours and lift 30 pounds is required.

• cGMP experience is preferable
