Position Summary:
The Senior Director, Commercial Information Management will be accountable for successfully leading the development and integration of Allakos’ Commercial Data Warehouse for all Commercial data assets. They will oversee development of the end-to-end data aggregation and Master Data Management systems and QA/QC processes on critical data elements. Additionally, this position will also be responsible for implementing enabling technologies, including customer relationship management (CRM) and business intelligence (BI) systems to Allakos commercial and medical field teams. These systems will support the commercial launch of lirentelimab, a monoclonal antibody in development for the treatment of eosinophilic gastrointestinal diseases (EGIDs) and other allergic and inflammatory conditions.
The successful individual in this role will be an experienced IT project/program manager who will drive the development of enterprise architecture and implementation of large-scale commercial data and BI solutions. They will partner with commercial business owners (e.g., Market Planning, Sales Operations, Market Access) to clearly define business needs, will work closely with IT to ensure appropriate resourcing, and will manage a team of vendors. This person must have the ability to see the bigger picture at a department- and enterprise-level, as well as work independently and be willing to dive into the details of the data and system needs.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and maintenance of the Commercial Data Warehouse to support Allakos’ Commercial and Medical Operations teams
- Oversee the development and implementation of a system for Master Data Management and data governance
- Lead the development and ongoing maintenance of CRM systems for Commercial and Medical field-based teams
- Lead the development and maintenance of systems for data aggregation across HCP, patient, and payer mastering
- Oversee the development of BI systems for tracking and reporting of key metrics to field-based teams and senior leadership
- Oversee End User training for HQ and field-based users and provide trouble-shooting support
- Build and lead a team of data management professionals
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in information technology design, implementation, and analytics platform (data warehouse) support in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry
- Commercial launch experience required; experience launching a buy-and-bill (Medical Benefit) drug preferred
- Proven track record of successful implementation of various CRM and field tools
- Must be able to identify operational weaknesses and implement correction action/plan
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills
- Excel, Access, and other complex database management experience
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred
- Self-motivated, and highly energetic individual with the ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Ability to articulate and convey complex data and information concisely to internal and external stakeholders
- An outstanding track record of collaboration with other functional leads, including IT and subject matter experts
