Manufacturing Associate III, Rochester

About the role

Sana Biotechnology is growing, and we are hiring new team members who believe in the potential of engineered cells as medicines, who want to challenge status quo, and who lead with the desire to work on novel ideas.  As a Manufacturing Associate III of Rochester Manufacturing Facility, you will report to the Director, Head of Rochester Manufacturing Facility to qualify the facility and perform manufacturing operations at the site.  Cool stuff.

What you’ll do

• This is a clean-room based position
• Participate in facility startup, including facility startup, equipment purchase, qualification and validation activities
• Order, receive and maintain material inventory.
• Under supervision, execute manufacturing activities and the GMP production
• Maintain clear batch record and maintain the facility to be inspection ready

What we’re looking for

• BA or BS in life science degree with 1-2 years of advanced education or industrial experience
• Good understanding of and experience with cGMP manufacturing is a plus
• Experience with cell culturing, especially PSCs (embryonic (ESCs) and/or induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs)) is plus.
• Attention to detail, and ability to closely follow the protocols is a must
• Hand-eye coordination and strong pattern recognition skillset is preferred
• Great Team-player and collaborator 

What will separate you from the crowd

• Cell and Gene Therapy product experience
• Successful facility startup and regulatory inspection experience
• Hands on experience in GMP facility

• Working safely in person on a predictable and regular in-person basis is an essential job function for this position, and the Company requires that all individuals working in-person be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including receipt of a vaccine booster shot if recommended by the CDC
