The Role

Orum Therapeutics is seeking a translational scientist with experience in oncology preclinical and clinical biomarker discovery and development to join our dynamic and growing team in Cambridge, MA.


We are: a growing, global biopharma team based in Cambridge and Daejon, Korea. Working to develop novel targeted therapies to address unmet medical needs in oncology, immunooncology, and other diseases. Entering the clinic, while maintaining focus on both treating patients and developing the next generation of treatments. You are: excited about joining a team looking to improve the lives of patients. Deeply organized and experienced translational scientist. Ready to partner with Project Leaders, Head of Biology, CSO, and CMO to develop clinical biomarker strategy for our current clinical projects. Strategic vision to anticipate and prepare biomarker strategy for pipeline projects moving towards the clinic.



  • Develop strategies for identifying and evaluating cutting-edge biomarker technologies

  • Lead the evaluation, validation, and implementation of novel technologies and capabilities both internally as well as at external collaborators / CROs

  • Interface with internal functions and external companies to provide technical guidance in the development of clinical biomarker assays

  • Perform analysis of data and summarize results from experiments performed

  • Present key results to project teams, governance bodies, and stakeholders

  • Contribute to and ensure the quality of clinical biomarker study reports, data reviews and interpretations, presentations, scientific publications and recommendations to project teams and management


    Requirements and Qualifications

  • PhD in a scientifically relevant discipline with 5-10 years industry or academic experience

  • In-depth knowledge of oncology and translational science

  • Experience in molecular biology and / or pathology highly desirable

  • Demonstrated experience in assay development and validation

  • Understanding of oncology clinical drug development and ability to critically assess resource needs, budgets and timelines for programs applicable to clinical biomarker and companion diagnostic strategy
