We’re seeking an Executive Assistant to the Chief Biomedical Scientist (CBS) to join us in our mission to improve human health and quality of life using advanced computational methods.

Schrödinger (Nasdaq: SDGR) is on the cutting edge of computer-aided drug discovery and materials science. The CBO leads our drug discovery and early clinical development teams that include a cross-functional group of scientists and drug developers with experience working on all common target classes and therapeutic areas.

This is an exciting administrative opportunity for a detail-oriented and experienced administrative professional to collaborate with a group of dynamic colleagues at the intersection of tech and biopharmaceutical R&D. This position includes complex administrative duties and projects, requiring the use of sound judgment and discretion, independent assessment, and resolution of complex situations/problems. You will be a critical, highly valued member of the team and will learn about some of the most exciting aspects of the emerging field of computer-driven drug discovery and early clinical development.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage and coordinate complex and highly fluid calendars, including scheduling prioritization of a high volume of meeting requests and scheduling tasks with internal and external stakeholders across multiple time zones (Gmail & Google Calendar)
  • Send (and stay one step ahead) of calendar reminders and pertinent needs for meetings, events, interviews, presentations, speaking engagements, committee meetings and travel.
  • Organize large and small group meetings and manage technical arrangements for internal (e.g. Zoom and Google Meet) and external meetings.
  • Domestic and international travel arrangements (TripActions), expense reporting (Expensify)
  • Assist in preparing, proofreading and editing high-quality agenda, pre-reads and documents of a highly confidential and sensitive nature such as presentations, memos and correspondence (Powerpoint and Google Slides)
  • Liaise with the Business Development, Investor Relations, Marketing, and Life Sciences teams regarding high-profile communications, timely meeting arrangement, and deadline-driven follow-up 
  • Work alongside the drug discovery administrative team to organize and execute group summits, retreats, social events, and celebrations!
  • Be knowledgeable about senior staff’s people-management responsibilities and the activities that enable leaders to effectively perform their personnel-related responsibilities (1:1 meetings, team meetings, reviews, etc.)
  • Anticipate key issues, implement and communicate action plans based on changing priorities and commitments. Be able and willing to adapt to constant change and to quickly course correct when necessary

What you should have:

  • At least six years of work in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industries with four or more years of executive-level administrative experience (required)
  • Strong proficiency with Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Box, Asana, Docusign (Confluence experience also a plus!)
  • Demonstrate professionalism in your communications.
  • Initiative, flexibility, adaptability and excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with all levels
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment is required.
  • Four-year degree in classical sciences preferred but not required
  • A great sense of humor and the desire to work at a company that values you.
