Job Description

The Senior Financial Analyst, US Immunology will report to the Associate Director of Immunology – Gastroenterology in support of a primary focus area and cornerstone of AbbVie. The Immunology business accounts for ~$25Bn in sales and ~$2Bn of SGA investment. The role will be responsible for supporting Gastroenterology with products prescribed for Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis. The nature of the role involves partnering with a broad team of finance and marketing colleagues and is a unique opportunity to provide financial planning and analysis support for assets from launch to loss of exclusivity.

Responsibilities

  • The tracking of promotional/non-promotional budget and analyzing monthly financial results for the franchise including comparisons against Plan/Update/LBE to highlight risks and opportunities.
  • Supporting the planning process for all P&L expense areas and headcount (i.e. marketing, promotion, sales force, cost of goods, royalty expense)
  • Performing monthly flash/close activities including journal entries, variance analysis, and monthly management reporting with variance commentary and key issues highlighted.
  • Interacting with all levels of management to communicate financial implications, guidance, and recommendations.
  • Partnering with brand leads to learn the business’s needs and deliver meaningful insights.
  • Preparing ad-hoc analysis and participating on project teams, as required.

Qualifications

Education/Qualifications/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting. CPA or MBA a plus.
  • Minimum 4-6 years of finance/accounting. 
  • Must be able to manage multiple priorities and achieve required timelines.
  • Strong financial, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Proficient Excel skills required.
  • Knowledge of SAP and TM1 a plus.
