The Compliance Manager, OEC Global Strategic Systems, supports the creation, organization, and execution of the OEC’s Global Strategic Systems and tools and enabling the OEC’s Analytics strategy. This position is responsible for development and deployment of our OEC Compliance program systems, including support of development and design, maintenance and enhancements. The role is highly cross-functional and requires bringing many internal and external teams together to launch important strategic projects and major analytics initiatives, requiring partnership with other functions to design and deliver innovative and compliant solutions meeting compliance needs of the business. This position will also serve as a liaison to internal and external business partners, providing direction and guidance related to AbbVie’s Compliance program, including the governance and implementation of data integrity processes and best practices.

 

Responsibilities

  • Partner with multiple business functions and stakeholders to provide OEC and functional operational compliance guidance to enable our global systems and analytics strategy and provide a seamless experience to our end users/customers.
  • Perform end-to-end life cycle implementations, from requirements gathering, design and testing to the ongoing support, and governance of strategic systems and analytical tools – enabling the launch of new or enhancements to analytical applications and processes.
  • Partner with OEC teams to support the Global Compliance risk assessment and advance technical solutions to help to inform the risk landscape.
  • Prepare and present information and proposals to Senior Leadership to enable decision making, provide updates on and drive our systems and analytics strategy.
  • Works cross-functionally and globally with stakeholders to manage centralized Compliance systems (e.g., Fair Market Value), analytics and reporting applications.
  • Continually advances the global strategic system and analytics program to provide a “best in class” Compliance analytics program.
  • Manages a consistent data governance model, data quality standards for existing and/or new data sources; Consulting with key stakeholders to inform and update as needed.
  • Accountable for data management strategies and process flows to support OEC operational activities and timelines, collaborating with the cross functional BTS (Business Technology Services) teams as needed.
  • Provide business the necessary insights to enable data driven decisioning.
  • Work in conjunction with key business and analytics stakeholders to perform data and process gap analysis and seek to leverage additional opportunities from the data and information.
  • Enable accessibility, education, and adoption of systems and analytical tools across the OEC.
  • Possess in-depth working knowledge of AbbVie’s business, internal policies and procedures, general industry practices, as well as the external risk environment.

Requirements

  • BA/BS required.
  • Minimum of 4+ years of experience with, or exposure to, business functions such as compliance, audit, legal, medical, regulatory affairs and/or finance. Previous pharmaceutical and international experience preferred.
  • Builds strong relationships with colleagues, peers, and cross functional partners outside of the team to enable higher performance.
  • Highly organized. Demonstrates strong communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Learns fast, grasps the essence, and can change course quickly where required.
  • Strong work ethic and proven track record of closing out initiatives successfully.
  • Ability to set priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously with a high level of efficiency.
  • Experience with systems life cycle, implementation and operations, and the application and use of systems to govern and support processes.
  • Smartsheet, Power BI, Cloud, SharePoint and other relevant systems and analytics experience highly desirable.
  • Must have experience with acquisitions and mergers.
